the fun parent vs. the “get it done” parent: which one are you?

Sarah and I did a more introspective Mama Said last month in which we talked about the roles our husbands play with the kids. It was an interesting discussion because our husbands have pretty opposite approaches to parenting, and we definitely discovered a bit of the “grass is always greener” dynamic as we talked.

Of course, all of this is rather generalized. Mark DOES '”get stuff done” at times. I also have times where I just chill and have fun with the kids. But under times of stress (i.e. remodeling and moving) we definitely default to the modes I describe in the video.

How about you? What’s your default mode? Is it the same as your spouse?
