Dinnertime conversation

India: Mommy, when you teach the students at Vanguard University, are you teaching them about blogging?

Me: No. I teach psychology. I’m helping people learn how to be a therapist. Like what daddy does. I used to do that, too.

India? You did? You used to be a therapist?

Me: Yes!

Kembe: No you didn’t!

Me: Yes I did! I was a therapist for a long time. Even when Jafta was a baby.

Mark: That’s right, guys. Mommy used to be a therapist. And now . . . well. There’s an old saying: “Those who can’t . . . teach”.

Me: (silently flipping him off).
